It’s time to celebrate the beauty of being complicated. Life isn’t meant to be a one-size-fits-all experience, and neither are we.

Life is not always meant to be optimized, and we aren’t always meant to feel good. It’s okay to give ourselves time to feel down, slow down, and even grieve.

For some, fall can bring on feelings of overwhelm and a sense of being lost. I have felt this way and tried to keep it to myself…also known as suppressing my true emotions, so I wouldn’t be the “downer” among friends and family.

This time of year our calendars are filled with activities. Be mindful of these activities. It’s all too easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of tasks, responsibilities, and distractions. Among this chaos, the art of self-reflection often takes a back seat.

Insecurities are like shadows that follow us, lurking in the corners of our minds, sometimes overpowering the light of our self-confidence.

Accepting these realities allows you to move forward with grace and understanding.

By paying attention to the quality of our emotions, we can cultivate a more positive and fulfilling life.

“When you initially forgive, it is like letting go of a hot iron. There is initial pain and the scars will show, but you can start living again.” ― Stephen Richards

Self-love is complicated and it is practiced with intention. With honesty. With vulnerability.
