The Power of Perspective and Energy

As a resiliency life coach, I know firsthand how crucial consistent action is to achieving our goals. However, I’ve come to realize that our perspective and energy are equally important in this journey. Over the next six months, I’m committed to creating consistency not just in my actions, but also in my mindset and perspective. 

Why Perspective Matters

Consistency in action is vital, but it’s our perspective—the mental energy we bring to the process—that truly makes us fall in love with the journey. Our perspective shapes how we interpret challenges, how we interact with others, and ultimately, how we sustain our efforts toward our goals.

Think back to a time when you achieved a significant goal.
What was your perspective like during that journey?
Did a positive, focused mindset help you push through obstacles?
Or did a negative perspective hinder your progress?
Our mindset can either propel us forward or hold us back.

A positive perspective doesn’t mean ignoring setbacks or pretending everything is perfect. It’s about recognizing that challenges will happen and preparing ourselves mentally to face them. It’s about feeling the emotions, learning from the experience, and then moving forward with renewed determination. It might take some time and that is absolutely ok. 

Shifting Perspective

When we carry a negative perspective, we often surround ourselves with others who see the world similarly. During tough times, these negative viewpoints can fuel our own, making it even harder to stay on track with our goals. This can ultimately lead to abandoning our goals, our ambitions.

What if this time around you take a chance on yourself and focus on cultivating a positive perspective that can transform your journey? Shifting our perspective helps us see challenges as opportunities for growth and allows us to be open to other people’s perspectives. This openness enriches our experiences and supports us in staying committed to our goals.
